the spring sunlight yawns,
and our sorrows are swallowed,
leaf by fragile leaf.
and then the wind falls,
and the sunlight gently warms,
we return, ourselves.
dark eyes betraying
thirteen sunrises since sleep,
fourteen sunsets lost.
her thighs’ underside,
hallelujah flesh calling
my snow blind kisses.
